The Game of Thrones Season 8 Deathpool was a passion project I created in anticipation of the much awaited final season of Game of Thrones. A friend showed me a printed out deathpool she was doing at work and I came up with the idea of creating an online version so that family and friends could join in and follow along.

Before the first episode all 8 participants joined the deathpool by filling out the form at the bottom of the page with their names, guesses for who would die, stay alive or become a white walker and finally who they thought would sit on the Iron Throne. These would be stored in a Firebase Database. Each time someone logged into the site it would access the database pull down the entries compare these to the current status, reorder the players and display the leaderboard.

Each week after the episode I would update the current status of each character. Everything else was handled by the process described above.
